写作连接词的三大常见用词
有些句子用的连接词一样，
但翻译出来的意思却不一样，
那该如何区分它们的使用方式呢？

常用的3个逻辑关联词的使用方法
1.
while
在时间状语从句中=when
在并列句中=but
区分方式：
一般情况下，如果while前后的内容涉及反义（词）关系则可理解为并列句，翻译为“而”；否则就把其当作时间状语从句理解。
Examples:
1. As is known to us all, failure usually results from laziness while diligence can result in success.
众所周知，失败往往源于懒惰，而勤奋往往使人成功。
2. While the figures for the European countries grew to about 16% in around 1996, the figure for Asian countries dipped to 8%.
在1996年的幅度欧洲国家的数据已经增长至大约16%，而亚洲国家的数据却下降至8%。
3. Some opponents think that while people save endangered species, they are interfering with the evolutionary process.
有些反对者认为当人们挽救濒危物种时，其实他们是在干预生物的进化过程。

在让步状语从句=no matter how
在并列句=but
区分方式：
However引导并列句表示“然而”时，通常都会在其后方带有逗号。但引导让步状语从句时则不带逗号。
Examples:
1. However, public infrastructure did not keep pace with urban sprawl, causing massive congestion problems which now make commuting times far higher.
然而，公共基础设施无法跟上城市扩张的步伐，这就导致了大规模的交通堵塞问题，并且使上下班的时间大大延长。
2. However, the research demonstrates that the population and job density of cities rose or remained constant in the 1980s after decades of decline.
然而，调查显示继几十年的下降之后，在20世纪80年代，城市人口和职位的密度都保持不变或有所上升。
3.However advanced and convenient the tele education is, traditional schooling is still the mainstream form.
= No matter how advanced and convenient the tele education is, traditional schooling is still the mainstream form.

if
区分方式：
If一般用于引导条件状语从句，位置置于句首或句子后半部分皆可，句子中间可以出现逗号; 但引导主语从句或宾语从句时，if不能置于句首，只能放在句子后半部分并且句中不能使用逗号断句。
Examples:
1. If tide, wind and wave power are all developed, Britain would be able to close gas, coal and nuclear power plants.
如果潮汐、风力和海浪发电都能得到开发，那么英国就能关闭天然气、煤炭和核能发电站。
2. Growth and environmentalism can actually go hand in hand, if politicians have the courage to confront the vested interest that subsidies create.
经济增长与环境保护二者在实际上是可以并行不悖的，如果政界人士有勇气面对补贴给他们创造的既得利益的话。
3. It is doubtful if the assignment can be completed on time.
作业是否能准时完成还不能确定。
4. He asked if I had left with you.
他问我是不是和你一起离开的。
