The pictures reflect the habitual way of thinking of differentpeople. When looking at a glass with some water in it, people mayrespond differently. Some may focus on the negative aspect anddescribe the glass as half empty; others may emphasize thepositive aspect of it and regard it as half full. In other words,people may hold completely different ideas about the same situationfor the simple reason that their attitudes tend to exercise heavyinfluence on the ideas.A persons attitude is developed out of many factors. His pastexperience, social status, and the view point he takes worktogether to shape his general attitude towards the world aroundhim. A pessimistic person tends to direct more attention to thenegative side of things, while an optimistic person never neglectsthe positive side of things. What is the consequence? Life is tenpercent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond toit.While we can not say attitude determines everything, we have toadmit that a positive attitude is more likely to lead to confidenceand efforts. Since attitude may indeed make a difference to ourlife and career, it is important that develop and maintain apositive attitude towards the world around us.
