In spite of the flood disaster, a good harvest is still in sight.

Yesterday we went to a nearby village to help the peasants get in the crops. We left our school early in the morning. It took us half an hour to reach the village. As soon as we got there, we joined the peasants in their harvesting work. They taught us how to cut rice, and how to tie it. It was in the fields that we had our lunch. After lunch, we had a short rest. We were fascinated by the beautiful scenery of the countryside. It got dark when we returned home. We were very tired, but we felt very happy.

I have many hobbies.And after class I usually attend many kinds of activies.

My favourate activity is playing basketball. During this game, on one hand, I can build up my body, make many new friends and, above all, I can learn to coorperate with my teamates.This,I think, will do good to me after I grow up and when I work with others. On the other hand,I can learn many skills and also can help myself to be more cablabe to bare hardship and solve difficulties.Though every time when I finish this game, I am black and white. I will go on playing it the other day.

I also have learned to be brave from the game. One day, when my friends and I were playing basketball, it began to rain. It was not very heavy, but two of my friends wanted to give up. But the other five and I wanted to go on. And we went on playing it. Luckily, two or three minutes later, it stopped rain,so we enjoyed ourself more than before and we learned never to give up if we met any difficulty.

I also like playing chess.I think it is a very good game. By playing chess, I can not only learn to think of the right way to deal with all different matters,but also learn to contral myself. When the situation is good, I have learned not to be proud;when it is not good, I have learned not to lose heart.

I also join in some other activities,such as swimming, running, playing computer games, visiting friends and so on.

In a word, from all these activities, I have learned a lot and I believe It will help me a lot and I will go on with it.

The old saying goes no mill, no meal . Have you ever seen a man who succeeds just by idling about? Of course, the answer is No . So we know if you want to gain something, you will have pains.

The farmers harvest by a year of arduous work; the scientists gain achievements by years of devoted researches; students get good marks by working hard; even the little ants have their food by working hard day and night. I know there are always some people who wait for the opportunities falling on them. They may attribute their failures to lack of good chances. Therefore, there are so many people gaining nothing at last. Clever men know that the more effort they make, the bigger chance they will have to be successful.

So, when others achieve their aspirations and you still gain nothing, don t complain about the unfair fate and don t give up, either. Remember: no pains, no gains.

大家都知道，获得成功的唯一途径就是辛勤付出。正如那句老话所言： 不推磨，没面吃。 你见过靠无所事事获得成功的人吗?答案当然是否定的。因此，我们应明白有付出才有收获这个道理。

一年的辛苦劳作使农民获得丰收;科学家经过多年钻研后取得成就;学生努力学习才取得好成绩;就连小小的蚂蚁也是靠日以继夜的劳动才获得了食物。但我知道依旧有许多人渴望着天上掉馅饼。他们失败时会归罪于运气不好，所以最终他们什么也不会得到。聪明人知道，越努力去做，成功机率越大。

因此当你看见别人成功而自己仍无所事事时，不用抱怨命运不公，更别轻易放弃。记住：有付出才会有收获。

I always hear about my friends complaining, they say their income is such low that they can t not make ends meet. At first, I would pity for them, but in the long run, I find their work is so easy, they just sit in the office from 9 am to 5 pm, they even don t need to go out for business. While I see another friend, he works so hard, his working hour is very unstable, sometimes he even works until 9 pm. The fact is that he earns the most between my friends. It is true that no pain, no gain, if people want more, they need to pay out more. Comparing to be envy about other people s great income, we d better to work hard to realize what we want. There is not short cut for people to get successful, working hard is the only way.

我总是听到朋友们的抱怨，他们说收入太少了，以至于无法收支平衡。刚开始，我会为他们感到遗憾，但是长期下来，我发现他们的工作很轻松，他们在办公室里朝九晚五地坐着，甚至不需要外出跑业务。然而我看到了另外一个朋友，他很努力工作，工作时间不稳定，有时候甚至于工作到晚上九点。事实上，他是我朋友之中赚得最多的。没有付出，就没有收获， 确实如此，如果人们想要，需要付出。与其羡慕别人的高收入，不如努力工作来实现我们想要的。成功没有捷径，努力工作是唯一的方法。
