很多烤鸭们都觉得小作文开头段写起来很简单，不就是根据现成的题目改写单词吗？所以很多同学的开头段就是这样改写的：

题目：The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004.

改写后的开头段：The graph illustrates the consumption of fish and some different types of meet in a European country from 1979 to 2004.

改写后的题目有一些改动，比如同义词转换 shows illustrates, kinds types, between..and from to, 不过仔细看一下，改写后的开头段跟题目基本没有什么区别，句型完全一样。这样的开头段很难让考官想象到你接下来的文章会精彩。 对于部分语法基础相对弱的学生，修改单词当然比改句型简单多，今天我想给大家分享一个常用来改写开头段的单词：change。change 既可以作动词，也可以作名词,所以一般会有两种改写方式。

作名词：The graph illustrates changes in the amount of fish and some different kinds of meat consumed in a European country from 1979 to 2004.

作动词： The graph illustrates how the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat changed in a European country from 1979 to 2004.

大家可以看到，用change来改题目之后，句型也发生了变化。要注意的是，作名词用的change后要用介词in。把change用作动词时，要用到how引导的从句。

因为小作文大多数都是要求考生描述变化，所以change可用来改写很多题目。

e.g. The line graph below shows the quantities of goods transported in the UK between 1974 and 2002 by four different modes of transport.

改写1：The line graph reveals how the quantities of goods transported changed in each of the four different ways of transport in the UK during the period from 1974 to 2002.

改写2: The line graph illustrates changes in the quantities of goods transported by four different modes of transport in the UK from 1974 to 2002.
