As is acknowledged by all, happiness is still more precious than anytreasure in the world. Butwhat does it mean on earth by theword ”happiness”? As far as wecan look up in dictionaries, happiness represents the state of well beingcharacterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Inbrief, happiness means the emotionexperienced when something taking place delights us.
From my point of view, being in a good mood anytime is what we can behave atfirst to bring us the sense of happiness. As an old saying goes"happy is he who is content", only by taking a content and gratefulattitude towards life, can we observe those fine felicities in daily life. Take an example of theold lady living in my neighbor, and we will find out thesignificance of the good mood. She has been living alone in a smallhouse since her husband and son died unexpectedly. We can neverimagine how bitter her life is. But the old lady doesn’t dissolveinto tears all day long. On the contrary, she is alwaysliving a content and beatific life,and smile never fades upon her wrinkly but kind face. Even now Ican still remember the fairy stories she told me and her warmsmile. Perhaps she is unfortunate, but her life is full oflaughter and happiness, because sheperceives the true essence of happiness, that is, to be satisfiedwith what one owns at hand health, freedom, love and soon.
Besides, positive and content attitude is whatmatters in seeking for happiness, love for others also makes greatdifference to happiness. As long as you have love in your heart,you will always be willing and eager to render your help to others;at the same time you can obtain happiness yourself. In terms of it,Lei Feng sets a good example for all of us. He served the peoplewholeheartedly until the last minute of his life.Furthermore, throughout his life, he regarded doing all hecould to help others as the happiest thing for himself. Learningfrom it we may get wise to the fact that those behaviors with lovenot only benefit to others but also lead ourselves to happiness.All in all, love, especially with a warm heart is of greatsignificance to trigger happiness.
However,in comparison of those role models, I feel woeful to discover somepeople contributing their happiness on basis of others’ pain ordisgust. They speak loudly in cinemas and meeting rooms; theydestroy trees to enjoy themselves and they laugh at othersshortcomings. Perhaps they feel happy at that time, but they don’trealize that they just own the lowest classification happiness.In conclusion, happiness demands a great heart consisting ofa good personal mood and a heart full of love.
