直面艰难的人生

Once in a far away place lived a man who had faith in God. One night, a man was sleeping soundly. Suddenly a huge sound woke him up. When he opened his eyes, he saw that his room was filled with light.

从前，在一个遥远的地方生活着一个信仰上帝的人。一天晚上，一个男人睡得很香。突然一声巨响惊醒了他。当他睁开眼睛时，看到他的房间里充满了光。

Just then God appeared before him, showed him a large rock outside his house and told him to push that rock with all his might.

就在这时，上帝出现在他面前，向他展示了他家外面的一块巨石，并告诉他用尽全力去推动那块石头。

The next morning when the man woke up, he remembered what he saw that night. He got outside and pushed it with all his might but wasn’t able to move it. Despite it, the man didn’t give up and from that day he made his routine to push that rock daily with all his might.

第二天早上，当他醒来时，他想起那天晚上的事情。他到外面用尽全力推动石头，但是无法移动它。尽管如此，他并没有放弃，从那天开始每天推动那块石头成为他的日常工作。

or many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of that large rock, pushing with all of his might.

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain as that rock never moved a bit even after many years.

Not seeing any progress, the man started to get discouraged and just then devil showed up in his dream and said, “You have been pushing that rock for a long time but it hasn’t moved. Why go through all that pain? It’s impossible to move that rock that’s why It’s better to leave it at this and live the easy life.”

没有看到任何进展，男人开始变得气馁，这时候魔鬼出现在他的梦中对他说：“你已经推石头这么久了，它都没有动。为什么还有要经历这种痛苦？推动那块石头是不可能的，所以最好把它留在这里，去过轻松的生活。“

Saying this devil disappeared.

话音未落魔鬼就消失了。

The man was disheartened but still, he decided to pray to God and tell him about his troubled thoughts.

他心灰意冷但仍然决定向上帝祈祷并诉说一直困扰着他的想法。

e prayed, “I have labored long and hard in your service, putting up all my strength for what you have asked me to do and yet after all this time.

祈祷道，“听从您我付出了漫长而艰苦的努力，为了您的使命付出了所有的气力，但这一切都结束了。

I have not even budged that rock by millimeter. What am I doing wrong?? Why am I failing?”

那块石头毫厘未动。我究竟做错了什么? 为什么我这么失败？“

Just then God appeared and said, “My child, I asked you to serve me and you accepted it. I told you to push that rock but I never said that I expected you to move it.!!

这时上帝出现了，“我的孩子，我请你为我服务，你也接受了。我说过让你推那块石头，但我从未说过我希望你能够移动它。

Your task was to push and After all these, you think you have failed but is it really so??

你的任务是推，经历这么多你认为你失败了，但事实真的如此吗？

Look at yourself, Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.

看看你自己，你的手臂强壮有力，肌肉发达，你的背部发达而呈棕色，你的双手不断摩擦成茧，你的双腿变得粗壮而坚实。

Facing opposition you have grown and your abilities now surpass that you used to have.

相反你已经成长，你的能力超乎过往。

You haven’t moved the rock but your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in my wisdom. This you have done.”

虽然你没有推动石头但你的使命是顺从，在推中锻炼你对我智慧的忠诚和信赖。你做到了。“

Moral:

At times when we Face difficulties in Life, we should just Trust in oneself and Push. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains.

寓意：

在我们面对生活困难的时候，我们应该相信自己并努力行动。通过各种方式，塑造“愚公移山”的信念。

原文是让相信上帝来着，寓意让我改成相信自己了。相不相信上帝是个人信仰的问题，人始终要做到相信自己才最重要。

古有愚公移山，大禹治水的经典故事，而像你我一样的现代人面临的更多的是生活和工作的压力。这些艰难困苦有时就像文中的巨石一样，不管你推不推，始终在那里，有时压得人们喘不过气来；但我们必须保持冷静并坚韧不拔地去磨炼、去克服、去战斗，因为不能击垮我们的，终将使我们更强。
