ex. You set my house on fire?

你让我的房子著火了吗?

ex. The performance animal was set free.

to establish something 建立某些东西、建立、设置

ex. The school is setting new rules for next year.

学校正在制定明年的新规定。

ex. They’re about to set a new record.

= They’re going to set a new record.

ex. This mistake has set us back two weeks.

to set out
