黑暗中，一盏照亮前进方向的灯就是梦想。从西南旱灾到玉树地震，从28省区市的水灾到舟曲泥石流，我们失去了很多，但梦想不曾失去。
特邀嘉宾老师李连杰、马云、李中华、章子怡分别用演讲的方式向孩子们讲述梦想成真的心路历程;而作为辅导老师的"庞清、佟健、房祖名、张静初、陈然、韩庚、王心凌等人，则以课间操、游戏和表演与孩子们融为一体。
来自玉树的才仁旦周是地震时最小的志愿者，为救援队当翻译拯救生命;无臂的杨孟衡和刘伟给了人们更多感动;来自舟曲遇难女孩父亲和校长的讲述让人们更加珍视生命的含义和学习的梦想。
这使我的梦想也改变了，现在我的梦想是“勿忘国耻，振兴中华”。
从世博会到亚运会，从长城到中国，从我的梦到中国梦，梦想就是希望。开学第一课告诉孩子们，坚强、努力，从长城出发，实现梦想。
