I did my first swimming in a pool last week.The pool was surrounded by a large dark green amphitheater which sloped steeply upward.Bands of lights overhead were turned offand only the pool remained lightedfrom below the surface.They glowed like a luminoussmokygreen-blue cloud suspended in a black cavern.I dived in.Amazinglythe light seemed to increase my ability to float.The water was coldand it bore me up as though I was made of cork and could float forever.
