Competition between individuals or companies can be tough, aggressive, even ferocious or cut-throat.For individuals, it may hurt self-esteem of the losers, some people think that this help the losers to be strong , less nag and help them see clearly the real socirty , but counterproductive, the unsettling result probably let them give up their ideals, or even the phenomenon of malicious completion may happen. Firms dump in order to build market share and recoup (收回) their losses later when, having established themselves to benefit from economies of scale (producing in larger quantities so that the cost of each unit goes down), they are able to charge market prices with a healthy profit margin on each unit sold.

Competition can also be gentlemanly or even cozy, so cozy that companies may be accused of forming a cartel to agree on prices in a price fixing arrangement. They may then be investigated by a government that looks into unfair trading practices.

Competitors may also enter into other perfectly legitimate forms of cooperation, such as joint ventures for specific projects. They may even talk about strategic alliances. But like mergers, these can go awry and lead to recrimination between erstwhile (former) partners.

It is often believed,that competition and cooperation are in opposition to each other.Some people stress competition,without which,in their eyes,there is no responsibility,no drive and ultimately,no progress.

Others advocate cooperation whatever they do.They are of the opinion that the dependence of people on one another has increased,without which the society we live in can not keep going smoothly.In reality,we find that in many cases competition goes hand in hand with cooperation.Lets take a football game for example.

During the game,one team is competing against the other,but each member of the team must cooperate with his teammates.

Otherwise,they would lose the game no matter how skillful each individual player might be.It is clear that competition has much to do with cooperation.

As far as I'm concerned,I do not agree with the view that competition and cooperation are always in conflict with each other.

In my opinion,while advocating competition.We should never forget cooperation.In our social life,cooperation is especially necessary because most work is fulfilled with or through other people.

So I’ve come to the conclusion that competition are equally important.
