Students can use simple past tense to write about some experience in the past.

Students will be able to get the main information of the original text. And they can add an ending to a story

Step 1 Warming up
I will play a piece of video from the movie Lost in Thailand and let them think about the questions: How did Xu Zheng s journey in Thailand? And why it happened. Lead to Jerry s unhappy experience in Saturday.
Step 2 Pre writing
1. Ask them to read the passage on the book and then tell me the main idea of the short dairy. And answer the question: what did he do in the morning?
Jerry had a unhappy holiday, in the morning he watched videos, played computer games and read books
