如何用英文自我介绍？被问到希望待遇时又该怎么回复？
要面试了，英文自我介绍该说些什么？被问到期望薪资时又该怎么回答？跟着 Della 一起进行英文面试特训，轻松应对面试官的难题！
社会新鲜人 Della 在准备面试时遇到了困难，便去找姐姐 Sylvia 特训。
Sylvia: Okay, begin by introducing yourself.Sylvia: 好，你来自我介绍一下吧。Della: Good morning, my name is Della. I live with my parents and sister. I majored in graphic design. I’m a friendly and caring person…Della: 早安，我叫 Della，我跟父母还有姐姐同住。我主修平面设计，我很友善、有爱心…Sylvia: Stop, stop, stop! You’re putting me to sleep. Far too dull!Sylvia: 停！别再说了！我都快睡着了。太无聊了！Della: Then how to introduce myself?Della: 那我要怎么介绍自己？Sylvia: You should cut to the chase. Tell the interviewers your know-how and the projects you’ve participated in.Sylvia: 你应该要直接切入重点，告诉面试官你的专业技能跟你参与过的项目。Della: So… just tell them I designed posters when I was in the college club?Della: 所以就跟他们说我大学时有帮社团设计海报这样？Sylvia: You can elaborate. How did you work with your team? How did you negotiate with others? One of the interviewers’ biggest concerns is what soft skills you have.Sylvia: 你可以多加详述，像是你如何跟你的团队合作、如何跟他人协商。面试官最看重的其中一点就是你的软实力。Della: Got it. How about connecting my experience with the position I am applying for?Della: 嗯…了解，那如果我把自身经验跟我要应征的工作做连结呢？Sylvia: Even better!Sylvia: 那就更棒了！
自我介绍就是面试官对你的第一印象，所以千万别让对方觉得你是个很无趣的人啊！
major in (phr.) 主修…
自我介绍时免不了要告诉面试官你主修什么科系，这时就会用 major in + 科系，其中的 major 这个字当名词时则表示「主修科目」，补充：「辅修…」则是 minor in…。
Susan is majoring in interior design. Susan 主修室内设计。
cut to the chase (phr.) 直接切入重点
早期的默片尾声都会有刺激的追逐战，cut to the chase 就是形容将影片剪到最精彩的追逐桥段，后来便衍伸为「直接切入重点」。
Stop rambling and cut to the chase. I don’t have all day!别再发牢骚了，直接讲重点，我没有那个时间！
know-how (n.) 技术；技能
know-how 字面上看起来就是「知道怎么做」，也就是指你的「技术；技能」。
With her know-how and more than 50 years of experience, Annie is well regarded in her field. 有着专业技术和超过 50 年的经验，Annie 在她的领域地位很高。
soft skill (n.) 软实力
团队合作 (teamwork)、沟通 (communication)、应变 (flexibility)，这些都是所谓的 soft skill (软实力)。与其相对的硬实力 (hard skill) 则有像是外语能力、学位、专业知识等等。
Big companies tend to hire people with a wide range of soft skills.大公司倾向录用具备软实力的人。
到了面试当天…Della 顺利自我介绍完后，面试官开始提问。
Interviewer: What’s your greatest weakness?面试官: 你最大的缺点是什么？Della: Sometimes I’m too detail-oriented. I’ve sometimes been accused of splitting hairs because I ask a lot of questions.Della: 有时候我会太过注重细节，有时候因为问太多问题会被说太钻牛角尖。Interviewer: Haha, our employees are similarly always pursuing perfection, so I think you would fit right in. 面试官: 哈哈，我们的员工都很追求完美，所以我想你们可以合作无间。Della: Thanks! I hope I can use my experience to support the company.Della: 谢谢！我希望我能够运用所长来帮助公司。Interviewer: That’s great. And I have one more question: what are your salary expectations?面试官: 很好，那我还有一个问题：你的希望薪资是多少？Della: For a fresh graduate, I feel that an annual salary between 40,000-45,000 a month is in line with this industry. But I’m also open to hearing about the company’s expectations.Della: 对一个社会新鲜人来说，我认为这个产业的价码差不多是年薪 40,000 至 45,000 美元。但我也乐于听听贵公司的期望薪资。Interviewer: Actually your expectations are in line with ours! detail-oriented (adj.) 注重细节的
detail 的意思是「细节」，orientation 意指「目标；取向；方向」，字尾 -oriented 就是「以…为目标；以…为导向的」 ，所以 detail-oriented 就是指一个人「注重细节的」。
I’m too detail-oriented, so sometimes I can’t meet the deadline.我太过注重细节，所以有时候会无法在期限内完成工作。
在面试时若被问到最大的缺点是什么，千万不要傻傻回答「很粗心」、「不准时」、「不会跟他人合作」，你的缺点必须也是优点，就像 Della 回答她做事太注重细节，这样不仅回答了问题，也可以显现出她是个细心的人。回答完缺点后也可以说说自己的改进方式，让面试官留下好印象！
split hairs (phr.) 钻牛角尖；吹毛求疵
split hairs 字面上的意思是「把头发分开」，其实就是指人浪费时间在没意义的事情上，可以翻成「钻牛角尖；吹毛求疵」。
Stop splitting hairs! There is no difference between the two colors!别再钻牛角尖了啦！这两个颜色根本没差别好吗！
employee benefit package (n.) 员工福利
benefit 有「效益；利益」之意，package 则是「包裹；一整套」，所以 benefit package 就像玩游戏的大礼包一样，涵盖员工所有的「福利」，像是保险 (insurance)、有薪假/年假 (paid leave) 等等。

面试真的是一大学问！除了展现自己的专业，软实力也是很重要的一环，毕竟大家都希望自己的同事是好相处的伙伴呀！
