461.成仙之道在于入俗脱俗、涉世出世、尽心了心、就凡超凡。

The way to becoming Celestial Being lies in the following methods:

Being free from vulgarity even while remaining in the secular world;

Being away from worldly affairs in your mind even if you must be involved;

Doing your best to complete your duty to be free from cares and worries;

Remaining ordinary while transcending beyond the ordinary.

462.一个人若能达到始终开心、喜悦、自由的境地,就是仙了。

Anyone who is always happy, joyous, and free is a celestial.

463.要想成仙,必须结仙缘了尘缘。尘缘不了,难以成仙。

To become a celestial, one must finish all worldly ties and foster new ones with celestial beings. It is hard to be a celestial being while still engaging in worldly ties.

464.心无所住,心无挂碍,随缘放旷,任运逍遥。行于是,止于是,造次于是,逍遥于是。

Let our minds abide nowhere, and be free from cares and worries, but follow what is predestined and be unrestrained, just enjoy our life no matter where we are or what we are doing.

465.从人到仙佛必做的三件事:偿还债务,了却尘缘;付出奉献,积功累德;完善完美化自己生命的反物质结构。

You must do three things in your process of transforming from human to a celestial or to achieve Buddhahood:

1.Pay back your debts and end you worldly ties;

2.Give and dedicate to accumulate your merits and virtues;

3.Perfect your nonmaterial structure of LIFE.

466.功名利禄、荣华富贵是修仙的陷阱;荣耀耻辱、宠幸落贱是修仙的障碍。只有少私寡欲、宠辱不惊,才能踏上修仙的路径。少私寡欲是修仙的起点,私不除,必陷入凡俗人生;欲不止,必欲火焚身。修仙者必须减少私心,降低欲望,在功名利禄、声色犬马面前保持清醒的头脑,要以人役物,不能让物役人。

For those whose goal is to become a celestial being: fame, power, wealth, and rank are traps, while glory and favor, humbleness and humiliation are merely obstacles. Only with the least amount of selfish desire and indifference to favor and humiliation, can one embark on the road to a becoming celestial being. The lack of selfish desire is the starting point toward that end. If selfishness is not banished, then one will be bound to live as a laity, and if their desires are not extinguished, then they may be engulfed by the fires of desire. To become a celestial being, one must decrease their selfishness, reduce their desires, and keep a sober mind in the face of fame, power, and carnal pleasure, and never be enslaved by material but use it is needed.

467.欲成仙,须超凡脱俗,反常退进。俗尘只用一个字形容:躁;凡世只用一个字形容:闹;仙境只用一个词形容:清静。所谓超凡脱俗,就是远离躁和闹,归于清静。

To become a celestial, one must be detached from worldly affairs and withdrawn from worldly pursuits. There is only one word to describe the secular world: restless; there is only one word to depict the human world: noisy; there is only one word to portray fairylands: serene. Transcendence over worldly affairs means a great leap from restlessness and noise to a return to serenity.

468.有什么样的生命结构,就生活在什么样的空间。动物在地上奔波,鸟儿在空中飞翔,蜜蜂在花丛中穿行,苍蝇在垃圾堆中往返,凡俗人在家庭私有制社会中忙碌,贤人在公有制状态中畅游,仙人在无有制环境中悠闲,天仙在自己的世界里随心所欲。

Every type of LIFE structure lives in its corresponding space. Animals scurry about on the ground, birds soar in the sky, bees buzz among the flowers, flies dash to and fro between garbage piles, laities hustle and bustle in private ownership and having families, sages wander freely in public ownership, celestials loiter in non-ownership, and Super Celestial Beings follow their own inclinations in their own worlds.

469.成仙的秘诀之一是,我们的意识中要创造未来,创造仙境,我们的意识中要把自己想象成神仙,“有什么样的思维方式,就会有什么样的生命存在形态”,如果我们整天想象着在千年界生活,久而久之,我们生命的结构就朝着千年界发展,等到瓜熟蒂落,水到渠成的一天,就可以去千年界了,别人以为你死了,实际上你已经离开人间去千年界享受神仙的生活了。

One of the magic codes for becoming a celestial being status is to be able to create the future fairyland in our consciousnesses. We must first imagine ourselves as celestial beings in our consciousness; “Different modes of thinking correspond to different forms of LIFE”. If we always envision life in the Thousand-year World, then the structures of our LIVES will develop toward that end in the long run, and we will go to the Thousand-year World when the conditions become right. Others may think that you are dead, but you will actually have departed the human world to enjoy a celestial being’s life in the Thousand-year World.

470.佛道有“五戒十善”“戒定慧”等之说,基督之道有原罪赎罪之说,人道有一套纲常伦理之说,而仙道之说是裸露本性、自由快乐、随缘放旷、任运逍遥。

The way of Buddha has theories of “five monastic precepts and ten kindnesses”, and “precepts, calmness, and wisdom”, the way of Christianity has theories of original sin and penance, and the way of Humans has a set of theories and rules governing human relationships. The way of Celestial Beings’ theories preach the exposition of nature, freedom, and pleasure, following predestined relationships, freedom from restraint, and Aristotilian Peripateticism.
